Our principles

  • Respect. Everyone deserves to be called by the correct name and pronouns.

  • Privacy. Your gender identity, previous name or transgender identity is confidential unless you choose to share it.

  • No assumptions. Don't assume someone's pronouns based on appearance.

  • Support. We have processes and people to help you through name changes and updates.

  • Legal protection. Under the Gender Recognition Act 2004, sharing someone's previous name or trans status without consent is unlawful.
